After ‘Game of Thrones’ series came to an end, Kit Harington has checked into a wellness retreat to deal with personal issues.
In a behind-the-scenes documentary that aired on HBO Sunday, one week after the show’s finale, the British actor was seen reacting emotionally as he read the script of the show’s final episode for the first time, and tearfully saying goodbye to the crew.
His voice wobbling, Kit declares: “I feel like my heart is breaking. I love this show. More than, I think, anything. It has never been a job for me. It’s been my life. This will always be the greatest thing I’ll ever do and be a part of…and you have all been my family. I love you for it, thank you so much”.
Sadly, it was revealed earlier this week that Kid had checked into a rehab facility in the U.S. to be treated for stress and alcohol use as the last season of Game of Thrones was airing.
However, Kit has spoken openly in the past about his struggles dealing with fame, and the emotional adjustment he was forced to make after the conclusion of the hit series.
Kit arrived at the luxury Privé-Swiss wellness retreat in Connecticut a month ago, sources told the New York Post.
Good to know that his wife, Rose, is being extremely supportive. ‘Everyone close to him really wanted him to get some rest. Right now, he just needs peace and quiet,’ the source said.
Get well, Jon Snow!
