Rest in peace, Avicii.
Tim Bergling or better known by his stage name Avicii was a Swedish musician, DJ, remixer and record producer. Bergling was born in Stockholm on September 8, 1989. He was a teenager when he released his first single in 2017. Then, he released a large number of singles and remixes in the following years and rapidly built reputation, and got the love he deserved.
On 20 April 2018, Avicii’s publicist Ebba Lindqvist announced that he had died that day at the age 28 in Muscat, Oman. But, no cause of his death was given. However, in 2017, Bergling’s health deteriorated and he was diagnosed with pancreatitis due to excessive alcohol use, and he stopped doing live performances since then.
I am at a loss for words, he brought so much shine into our industry. He inspired so many.
“WE ALL REACH A POINT IN OUR LIVES AND CAREERS WHERE WE UNDERSTAND WHAT MATTER THE MOST TO US. For me it’s creating music. That is what I live for, what I feel I was born to do. Last year I quit performing live, and many of you thought that was it. But the end of live never meant the end of Avicii or my music. Instead, I went back to the place where it all made sense – the studio. The next stage will be about my love of making music to you guys. It is the beginning of something new. Hope you will enjoy it as much as I do”. – Avicii
Honestly, I am in tears while reading this.
Rest in peace, Avicii. Your music will always mean the world to us. We loved you and we will always love you and remember you. You will be missed.
