The Northern Lights
Seeing the astronomical phenomenon The Northern Lights, a.k.a. Aurora Borealis, is a dream come true for everyone. In order to see them, you need clear, dark skies. Sightings are most likely during the three or four hours around midnight. Also, some people hear them. According to scientists, the upper atmosphere where the lights occur is too thin to carry sound waves, but, many people claim to hear whooshing and crackling noises when there is an Aurora in the sky. Also, i don’t think we need to talk about the views, the photo can speak itself.
If you are an animal lover, then look no further than Alaska. Alaska is home to large carnivores, grizzly bears, polar bears, moose, Dall sheep, mountain goats, migratory birds and many, many more.
Seeing icy glaciers is a quintessential Alaskan experience.
Alaska is beautiful in every season. But, during the fall, Alaska is just pure beauty. Being surrounded by bright yellow, gold, red and purple mountains and green forests it’s the best feeling ever.
Explore the small seaside towns
Despite the large, dense cities, Alaska is dotted with mostly small, remote cities and communities. Starting from Haines, Talkeetna, Gustavus, Girwood you got a lot of choices. Every town has its own beauty, its own uniqueness.
